We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and any content you create on Chessido. We also collect usage data and analytics to improve the platform.

How we use your data

We use your information to operate and improve Chessido, communicate with you about your account, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and privacy-conscious usage analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on enterprise-grade, encrypted infrastructure with strict access controls. We apply industry-standard encryption for data both at rest and in transit.

Service providers

We work with a carefully selected set of trusted, industry-leading providers to deliver secure hosting, communications, and analytics — each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Where you choose to connect an external chess platform (for example, to sync public ratings), that service operates under its own privacy policy.

AI assistants you connect

Coaches and academy owners can choose to connect an AI assistant — such as Claude or ChatGPT — to their Chessido account. Nothing is shared until you sign in and press Allow. The assistant can then read your own academy's information when you ask it to — students, batches, homework results, class schedules and summaries, and fees if you're the academy owner. If you ask it to, it can also make changes on your behalf — such as scheduling or cancelling a class, setting homework, publishing a lesson, sending an in-app message to a student, adding or moving a student, or (for academy owners) marking a fee or recording a completed level — but only after showing you exactly what it will do and receiving your confirmation. It cannot delete students. Existing student passwords and parent contact details are never shared.

What the assistant does with that information is governed by its provider's privacy policy. You can disconnect an assistant at any time from your Chessido settings, which ends its access immediately.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at team@chessido.kids.

Children's privacy

Chessido serves students who may be under 13. Accounts for minors are created and managed by coaches or parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or institutional consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
